The Thunderhawks fell to Alter in the season opener 20-25, 19-25, 17-25 on Tuesday, Aug. 22nd. Seniors Olivia Gibbons had 13 assists while fellow senior Raquel Emrick had 10. Sophomore Sarah Norcom led with 9 kills followed by Senior Ariel Swain with 7 and Junior Riley Adleta with 6. Senior Grace Kathman led with 22 digs, Junior Heather Heuerman had 9, and Sarah Norcom with 11.

The Thunderhawks lost to Mercy 25-16, 25-13, 25-16. Offensively East had 20 kills and 5 service aces. Defensively they had 40 digs and 2 blocks.

Next up for the Thunderhawks are Turpin and SUA in a tri-match Saturday 10am and 12pm at East. 

The Thunderhawks defeated Turpin 20-25, 25-13, 25-17 and fell to SUA 25-22, 15-25, 15-25 in a home tri-match last Saturday. Senior Ariel Swain led offensively with 20 kills on the day. Junior Riley Adleta and Sophomore Sarah Norcom each had 15 kills and Junior Jada Bouyer had 11. Junior Savanah Schwarz had 29 assists and Senior Olivia Gibbons had 25. Senior Grace Kathman lead the way defensively with 30 digs while Sarah had 25, Junior Heather Heuerman had 18, Junior Olivia Battista had 12, and Gibbons had 10.

Lakota East Volleyball continues to battle but falls to McAuley 16-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-18, 8-15 on Tuesday night. Senior Olivia Gibbons had a double double with 25 assists, 13 digs and added on 2 aces. Senior Grace Kathman had 20 digs and Senior Ariel Swain had 14 kills. Junior Riley Adleta had 14 kills, Junior Jada Bouyer had 7 kills, Junior Savannah Schwarz had 21 assists, Junior Heather Heuerman had 13 digs and Junior Olivia Battista had 4 aces and 10 digs. Sophomore Sarah Norcom also had a double double with 16 kills and 19 digs.

Up next for the Thunderhawks is Seton at Lakota East Thursday at 6pm.

East Girls Volleyball battled Seton to five games on Thursday night before falling in the finale. Scores were 23-25, 25-20, 25-16, 25-27, 15-7. No other details available at the time.

Next up East will visit Dublin Coffman on Saturday, Sept. 2nd.

The Thunderhawks fell to Dublin Coffman in 3 11-25, 17-25, 21-25. Offensively the team had 23 kills and 3 aces. Defensively the team had 45 digs and 3 blocks.

Up next for Lakota East Volleyball is a match today at Notre Dame Academy. 

East girls volleyball got back on the winning track with a 3 game sweep of Sycamore on Thursday by scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-17. No other details provided.

Next up East will visit Centerville on Saturday, Sept. 9th.

Junior Heather Heuerman had 10 digs, Olivia Gibbons had 9 digs, Junior Olivia Battista had 7 digs, and Sarah Norcom had 7 digs.

Junior Riley Adleta led the way with 7 kills, Senior Ariel Swain had 6 kills, Senior Hannah Keating and Sophomore Sarah Norcom had 4 kills, and Junior Jada Bouyer and Sophomore Maddie Barone each had 2 kills. Senior Olivia Gibbons lead the way serving with 8 aces, Senior Raquel Emrick had 4 aces, Hannah and Junior Heather Heuerman had 2 aces, and Sarah had 1 ace. Junior Olivia Battsita led with 6 digs, Gibbons had 4, Heather and Raquel had 3 digs, Senior Grace Kathman and Hannah had 2 digs.

The Thunderhawks drop a tough conference road battle on the road to Mason 15-25, 26-24, 15-25, 20-25 on Thursday night. Junior Riley Adleta led the way offensively with 11 kills, Sophomore Sarah Norcom had 10 kills, Senior Ariel Swain had 8 kills, Junior Jada Bouyer had 7 kills, and Senior Hannah Keating had 6 kills.

Senior Olivia Gibbons dished out 17 assists and Junior Savanah Schwarz had 19 assists. Senior Grace Kathman had 12 digs, Sarah had 14 digs, Gibbons had 10 digs, Junior Olivia Battista had 8 digs, and Junior Heather Heuerman had 7 digs. Jada had 2.5 blocks, Sarah had 1.5 blocks and Hannah and Riley had .5 blocks. Grace and Sarah both had 2 aces and Olivia and Gibbons each had 1 ace.
